Emaar to Build the Next World’s Tallest Building, “Higher Than Burj Khalifa”
Emmar Group, the developer of mega-development projects is going to build a tower higher than current world’s highest building “Burj Khalifa”. The architect says that the new US $1 billion Dubai tower that will stand higher than Burj Khalifa will represent a nation like The Eiffel Tower of Paris.
As per Burj Khalifa’s website, world’s tallest building “Burj Khalifa” with more than 160 stories measures at over 2,716.5 feet (828 meters). However, upon completion of the Dubai Tower this will be world’s tallest building.
Likewise Eiffel Tower has inspired over 100 years, Emmar Properties, with the aim of representing whole nation, construction of the new Dubai Creek tower will start by June-end and will be completed by Expo 2020. Emaar Properties will try to complete the new Dubai Creek tower construction work and a mega-retail district at the same time.
Blueprint of Dubai Creek tower is designed by Mr Calatrava’s and is chosen by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. Total construction cost will be about US$ 1billion, however, overall height of the tower is not yet revealed.
The Dubai Creek tower is going to serve as an architectural tower rather than a working building; there will be 18 and 20 upper floors for hotels with restaurants, function rooms, an observation deck and an interior garden space.
Talking about the structure of Dubai Creek Tower, the tower will be clad in glass and steel and will have a concrete core, The tower will be built in three packages, one company handle the foundation, another to build its concrete core and a third-one carrying the fabrication of the steel cables, which will be among few of the longest used ever. An observation deck will offer 360-degree view of the city. Deck will also feature spinning platforms taking guests outside of the deck into tower’s void offering them impressive views.
It also features a 4.5km Creek boardwalk and housing nine lifestyle districts, 22 hotels, marina, a yacht club and a harbor.
