Bluewaters Island Dubai
An another huge constructed bridge project which link Dubai to this entertainment island and has a world’s tallest Ferris wheel; named Bluewaters Island. This 1,400 meter mega bridge cost approx Dhs 500M and range from the Jumeirah Lakes Towers crossing of Sheikh Zayed Road to the Bluewaters Island development.
This road bridge project provides ease for ferry people to cut down their travel time to reach the island. There are other options which include a monorail from JLT Metro station to the island and a footbridge from the island to Jumeirah Beach Residence. 4th method of transportation to the entertainment area is a cable car option.
This four lane bridge project has been approved by Vice President of the UAE and ruler of Dubai and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The Bluewaters Island has a promenade, a souq, a 5 star hotel including residential properties.

The Dubai Ferris wheel; which is the tallest wheel in the world at 210 mtr tall is the highlight of this Bluewaters Island development; named the Dubai Eye. It attracts more than 3 M visitors. It overtook the world’s tallest Ferris wheel, the Singapore Flyer, which stands at 165 meter and Europe’s tallest, the London Eye, at 135 meter. New York City is planning a Ferris wheel for 2016 that will come in at 190 meter.The Dubai Eye dominates the city’s skyline but to put things in aspect, it is still be 4 times smaller than the 829 meter Burj Khalifa.
