After long-standing complaints by residents in international city and connected Al Awir road, more than Dhs 190 m is to be spent on improving the roads. The project is in partnership with Nakheel, the manufacturer of International City.

Presently there is an only one entrance used by residents of the International City and visitors to Dragon Mart, which results in jammed pack crowd during the morning and evening times. A 2 lane flyover will be manufactured at the point of Nouakchott and Al Awir Roads to secure a free traffic movement for the traffic inbound from Nouakchott Road and outbound to Al Awir Road westward.
